Malinda Ware, a lifelong resident of Newburgh, is a respected mentor, artist, and community activist committed to bringing greater equity to our communities. She expresses her passion for freedom and human rights through her artwork. From a young age, Malinda was inspired by the work of her own mother as a youth development leader and community activist.

Malinda completed her undergraduate degree in Marketing at Mount St. Mary’s College where she also earned a Masters degree in Business Administration. Malinda serves as a Commissioner for both the OC Human Rights Commission and the City of Newburgh Human Rights Commission. As the 4-H Issue Leader at Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Orange, she inspires local youth to reach for their potential, and she also serves on the statewide CCE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force that is working to become an anti-racist organization by 2025.
