Nicole Oliver is a community leader and activist living in Wappingers Falls where she is raising her teenage son. She works in the healthcare as the Human Resource Director at a nursing home. During the pandemic she has worked long hours to keep the organization running smoothly.

Nicole is empathy in action and takes the time to work through concerns and communicate with everyone. She holds space and offers support to people during very painful moments. As a veteran of the US Army, Nicole has a strong sense of leadership and commitment to the causes she cares about. Nicole fights for marginalized voices and continues to show up for a variety of mutual aid work. She is a part of multiple local social justice groups in the Hudson Valley region, including Melanin Unchained, Next Step Hudson Valley and Beacon for Black Lives. She hopes to activate young people, including her teenage son, to become a part of the movement for social justice.
