Hailing from Spring Valley, NY, Peyton represents the 5th generation of librarians in her family and she was raised in libraries. Currently, she is a librarian at the Finkelstein Memorial Library and a Special Education Teacher for the East Ramapo Central School district.

She’s passionate about making the use of libraries and working in libraries more welcoming to People of Color. She is part of the Coalition for Library Workers of Color to bring awareness to racism in the field of librarianship and advocate to address it.
